Mahindra and ArriveAlive.co.za partner up for Safer Drives, Safer Lives campaign
Mahindra has partnered with Arrivealive.co.za in a campaign focused on educating drivers about road safety and the importance thereof. The campaign, called "safer drives, safer lives" will also educate drivers on vehicle safety equipment and how to use it effectively to ensure safety on the road. It will also focus on safety features such as ISOfix anchor points for child car seats, airbags and side-impact bars as well as dynamic safety equipment such as ABS brakes with electronic brake-force distribution.
This follows an announcement by the Global New Car Assessment Programme (GNCAP) that the Mahindra XUV300 is the safest car that it has ever tested for Africa and South Africa. The XUV300 passed the crash test with a score of 16.42 out of 17, which is a full five-star rating and resulted in Mahindra winning the much coveted Safer Choice Award.
This campaign is very welcome in a country with as high an accident rate as South Africa and can only lead to us being a nation well-versed in road safety.
